Whittier Museum Will Open Three Exhibits at Free November 14 Historical Society Meeting

WHITTIER, California — The Whittier Historical Society is inviting residents to its annual meeting on Saturday, November 14, 2026, with three exhibition openings and a talk on the stories behind Whittier street names. The gathering runs from 10 a.m. to noon at Whittier Museum, 6755 Newlin Avenue, and admission is free.

Three exhibits and a neighborhood-history talk

According to the museum, the program will include a presentation by Chris Krause on local street names, along with an update on the state of the museum. Three displays are scheduled to open during the gathering:

Harris Oldsmobile and Whittier’s Auto Row, on the first floor’s Main Street area;
Whittier Cavalier Band and Lin Lovettes marching group, on the second floor;
The refurbished classroom exhibit, on the first floor.

The society says refreshments will be served and both current and prospective members of the organization are welcome. The event is open to the general public, not only society members.

Why it matters for Northeast Whittier
